There are many things to consider when selecting the appropriate blinds for your conservatory. Light control, glare reduction, budget, privacy -- each matters, and the right answer depends on the shape of the room, which way it faces, and how you actually use the space. A conservatory without blinds can become unbearably hot in summer and loses heat fast in winter. The right blinds make a genuine difference to year-round comfort, and to how much you use the room. Pleated and cellular blinds in particular can help reduce heat loss — research by the BBSA and the University of Salford found that honeycomb blinds can cut heat loss through windows by up to 32%.
We typically provide three blind systems for conservatories: vertical blinds, roller blinds and Perfect Fit blinds. Vertical blinds work well on wide side windows and patio doors. Roller blinds -- both traditional and motorised -- come in a wide range of textures and colours, all hand made in Bury St Edmunds. And Perfect Fit blinds are fitted without drilling any holes for brackets; the blinds appear to be part of the window frames when installed and are particularly versatile on tilt and turn windows, because the blind remains attached when the window is opened and closed.
